Thanks for playing such a great show in "The Hammer" tonight. Glad so many people were in line to buy your records.
For the record "The Hammer" comes from "The Hammer Tavern" in musician circles. Or at least my boss who is a city archivist thinks. Legend has it The Hammer Tavern was just outside city limits in the 1940's and didn't observe liquor bylaw. So musicians remembered Hamilton as "The Hammer" and the name stuck to this day.
Again thanks for playing our scrappy little town. It was lovely.
